This Report addresses the substantial impact of daily dietary patterns on the health of Americans. Good health does not always come easily. It is the product of complex interactions among environmental. behavioral, social, and genetic factors. Some of these are, for practical purposes, beyond persona1 control. But there are many ways in which each of us can influence our chances for good health through the daily choices we make.
